Take a Trail Ride with the Off-Road Pros

KTM and the Montana Trail Vehicle Riders Association (MTVRA) will host an organized trail ride on Thursday June 25, 2009 led by off-road pros Russell Bobbitt, Mike Lafferty, Jason Raines, Nick Fahringer, Cole Kirkpatrick and Brad Bakken.

This event will take place between rounds 6 and 7 of the AMA National Enduro Series. "Since many enduro riders will be out west for the two rounds we figured hosting a trail ride would be a fun activity for the riders and their families to attend in between races," commented KTM Ride Orange Manager Mark Hyde.

A minimum donation of $15.00 to the MTVRA is required for the ride. All proceeds from this event will help fight land closure battles in the state of Montana. The trail ride will take place on the Bull Run Guest Ranch and will not use the same trails as the race.

The KTM/MTVRA Trail Ride will accommodate riders of all skill levels while also serving as a great chance to test bike set-up for riders intending to race on the ranch that weekend. This is the only opportunity to ride parts of the ranch and get a feel for the terrain before the race. No other riding will be allowed on the ranch until the start of the race.

The terrain at the 13,000 acre Bull Ranch is very diverse. It borders the Missouri River on one side and includes grassy pastures, foothills, open rocky ridges, timbered ridges, valleys, stream crossings and, of course, lot of rocks! The professional off-road riders leading the trail ride will provide riding tips and suggestions for how to tackle the types of terrain on the ranch.
