Shock Doctor/KTM Cycle Specialty Team Wins Perry Mountain 24-Hour Challenge

Maplesville, AL - Shock Doctor/KTM/Cycle Specialty/Trail Tech team riders, Mike Brown, Russell Bobbitt, Cole Kirkpatrick, Joey Baker, Jason Chancey and Allen Gravitt won the Perry Mountain 24-hour Challenge with a 10 minute lead.

Bobbitt got the team off to a good start Saturday morning riding the first three laps of the race and taking the early lead. The Shock Doctor/KTM/Cycle Specialty/Trail Tech team quickly stretched its lead as the team led the race for the first 34 laps of the 11 mile long course. At lap 34 the KTM team came upon its first mechanical issue which cost them a lap and the lead. The Husaberg team was able to pass them and led until lap 41 where hard-charging KTM team regained the lead.

On lap 45 the KTM team had to stop to change a rear wheel and lost the lead once more for a mere lap. Once they passed back for the lead on lap 45 they maintained that position and went on to win over the Husaberg team with a 10 minute gap.

"We had a great race and all the team riders rode well. We'd like to thank Allen Gravitt and Cycle Specialty for helping us set this team up. We had a great time and were happy to walk away with the win," commented team rider Russell Bobbitt.
