Ozzy Barbaree Rides Red Bud with the RiderDown Foundation

Ozzy Barbaree & RiderDown Team Up

EVERGREEN, CO (July 1, 2010) - Ozzy Barbaree, #862, will be representing RiderDown this weekend at Round 6 of the 2010 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship Series. Recently Ozzy accomplished his goal of graduating from college and is now back at the races. Committed to get the word out and represent RiderDown at Redbud this weekend, Ozzy is pumped up and ready to have a great time at his favorite track and see many of his MX friends. While in Colorado for the 5th Round at Thunder Valley Ozzy met with the RiderDown crew and talked about racing and the plight and hardships of the privateer. Without a sponsorship, Ozzy realized he can help others by raising awarness of the great things RiderDown is doing to help injured riders back up on their feet. "I had a great example last week at Thunder Valley of the good things that happen when you can help someone in need," says Ozzy. "My neighbors in the pits were in desperate need of parts after a crash in the qualifying practice. The father of #15, Sayaka Kaneshiro, of the WMX asked if I had the parts he needed. I offered him my spare bike for parts to get her to the first moto and everyone pitched in to get the job done. Much to my surprise, I was given some new trick parts that are on my race bike now (thanks Kaneshiro family) in return for my willingness to help. I was reminded that it always pays off sooner or later to help those in need. RiderDown does that daily and they need donations to make that happen. I am proud to represent them and ask that you donate to this worthy cause."
