Fahringer really came alive in the second half of the race and closed the gap between him and KTM rider Cory Buttrick. "I started the day a little bit too relaxed and didn't perform where I needed to be competitive. I really picked up the pace in the fourth test, riding a bit over my head. I crashed twice in that section," stated Fahringer. "I improved significantly in the fifth test, winning the section and then rode decent in the final test to finish just short of 4th place."
