"Salt Lake City is a special place for me; last year I won my Lites class championship here, and this year I will ride my first race as the champion," said Dungey. "I'd like to thank Mark Burke from Rice-Eccles Stadium, Jeff Robbins from the Utah Sports Commission and Governor Herbert for the opportunity to race in the great state of Utah.

"I have a 19-point lead coming into tomorrow night's race, and I feel really comfortable here because I grew up Idaho riding in the wet conditions," said Weimer. "I will have a lot of family and friends on hand to support me tomorrow night, and I hope to win my first championship."
