In today's economy everyone has been forced to scale back in some way or another. Even manufactures have had to cut cost and slow production. With budget cuts seriously effecting race teams, some of the best riders in the world have been forced to take a step back and return to the reality of pinching pennies just to make it to the race for the weekend. In Boulder City, CA, offroad legend Brian Garrahan
has felt the strain and pain of today's economic situation first hand. Over the past 10 years Brian has seen it all; from living out of a box van as a traveling privateer, to riding for one the world's greatest factory race teams, back to being a top privateer. "The past two years have been a real challenge, says Garrahan, but I'm a racer and the down economy isn't going to stop me from doing what I love!" Without the help of a factory support team, Brian has relied solely on his family, close friends and long time sponsors to help him achieve his goals in the 2010 race season. With three Western Hare Scramble wins in the books, Brian is on a roll and determined to make a point. "It doesn't take a Factory ride to win a race!" says Garrahan. "Determination and will to win is what it takes!"
