Ceriel Klein Kromhof of the CKK JR Honda MX Team has had mixed fortunes in the first round of the World Championship MX3 Series in Valkenswaard last Monday. In the first moto the rider from Daarlerveen finished in third position. In the second moto he collided with another and crashed. By the crash he dislocated his shoulder and will be out for at least five weeks.

The weekend started positively on Sunday. In time practice he set the second fastest time in his group and was satisfied about this. In the first moto he took a good start but struggled to find his rhythm. He tried to stay as calm as possible and was riding a consistent race. He finally he crossed the finish line in third position and was only five seconds behind the second place rider.

Just before the second moto it started to rain. Ceriel took a poor start when the gate dropped but he charged back through the field and in only three laps time he had worked himself up to fourth position. Soon after he collided with Yentel Martens. Yentel didn't jumped a step up and because Ceriel tried to jump it he hit his rear wheel and made a big crash. By the crash he dislocated his shoulder and was forced to retire from the race.

On Monday Ceriel went to his doctor and he noticed some damage in his shoulder. Because of this the rider from Daarlerveen will be out for at least five weeks.
