Top 10 250cc West Coast racers from Anaheim 1 Supercross

At the opening round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross series held at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California, Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/KTM’s Shane McElrath kicked off the 250cc West class with start-to-finish win that had the 23-year-old North Carolina native looking like he had the class handled. Out of striking distance but not off the pace was Aaron Plessinger (Yamalube Star Racing Yamaha) and Adam Cianciarulo (Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki).

First place: Shane McElrath

Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/KTM rider Shane McElrath was awesome all night and led the main from start to finish.Brown Dog Wilson

Second place: Aaron Plessinger

Star Yamaha rider Aaron Plessinger almost had it—just not enough to catch McElrath and finished with a second.Brown Dog Wilson

Third place: Adam Cianciarulo
