Alpinestars Launches 2019 Motocross Collection

Includes Supertech M10 motocross helmet and new Tech 10 boot

Alpinestars recently unveiled its 2019 motocross collection, which includes the Italian brand's first motocross helmet, the Supertech M10. The new lid is the result of more than five years of intensive development and testing. Designed to be lightweight, streamlined, strong, and equipped with a patented visor release system and fitting height and angle adjustment system, the M10 is certified for worldwide use.

Alpinestars' flagship motocross boot, the Tech 10, has been completely redesigned in an effort to better the performance and increase protection. The boot retains the Tech 10's iconic styling but is designed to give the rider optimum feel, comfort, and safety. According to Alpinestars, the new Tech 10 is more than 400 grams (approximately 0.88 pound) lighter than the previous version. Technical upgrades and technologies include a Front Flexion Control Frame, Asymmetrical Dual-Pivot Arms, the patented Dynamic Heel Compression Shock Absorber integrated into a redesigned foot shell, a slimmer and more streamlined outsole, and new buckles that according to Alpinestars are easier to operate and more durable.

We spent a day wearing gear from Alpinestars' 2019 collection, with the exception of the new Tech 10s, and are pleased with the Supertech M10 helmet after our first day of riding in it. It feels light holding it and wearing it, and we'll be spending plenty more hours testing it, so stay tuned for the full review. The new 2019 gear looks great and we noticed that our particular set of gear seemed to be a bit on the small side in comparison to years past, but just slightly. Once we receive a pair of the new Tech 10 boots, we'll begin testing them and will have a full review after plenty of seat time.
