Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki's Adam Cianciarulo finished on the podium in both motos at round 8 of the 2019 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship at Spring Creek MX Park in Millville, Minnesota. The Florida rider finished third in moto 1 and won the second moto to claim his sixth overall win of the season. Cianciarulo holds a 36-point gap over his nearest competitor in the point standings with four rounds remaining in the series.   "Today was one for the books," Cianciarulo said. "I am so incredibly proud of my team and the results from today. Days like today are where you can easily throw away a moto due to a mechanical or get swallowed whole by the nasty weather conditions. In the first moto, I struggled badly with my vision as mud got stuck on my goggles and I couldn't get it off, so then I ditched my goggles but that didn't seem to help as I kept making some minor mistakes and even tipped over at one point. In the second moto, I was determined to get out front and ride with clear vision and was able to do just that. We were able to increase our points lead a bit and keep working towards the bigger picture, which is all we can ask for at the end of the day."

JGRMX/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing's Alex Martin grew up on the grounds of Spring Creek MX Park, and looked right at home in both motos. Martin finished second in moto 1 and in the second race, was pushed wide in the first turn and had to take a fire road next to the track before reentering. He technically finished moto 2 in the runner-up spot, but was penalized one position for his off-track excursion, which put him in third in that race and second overall for the day.

“Things started off a little delayed at the home race due to weather, but I felt great on the bike right away and qualified third-fastest,” Martin said.

“The motos went very well with two second place finishes. It was unfortunate to get docked a position in the second moto. All in all, it felt awesome to finally get an overall podium for myself and the JGRMX/Yoshimura/Suzuki guys! I’m very excited with how things have been progressing.”

Geico Honda's Hunter Lawrence claimed his second race win of the season in moto 1 and finished just outside the top five in moto 2 with a sixth place performance. The Australian sits tied for fourth place in the point standings after eight rounds of racing.   "Yeah, it was pretty sick," Lawrence said. "We got a holeshot, and in a mud race your race can go two ways, and obviously you want it to start with a holeshot. I'm pretty stoked on that. The team has been working really hard, and continues to work to get the engine package better. I just tried to stay cool when I was up front. [In the] second moto, my jump out of the gate was pretty good; I just hit a false neutral between second and third off the start, so I was way back. It was just stupid. To throw away a chance at the overall just a few feet out of the gate was just a punch in the gut. I tried to come back through, but the other boys were on it. [We] put ourselves in a great position to win, but to watch it go away, it sucks. We'll come back next weekend with no false neutrals."

Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Garrett Marchbanks put his KX250 inside the top 10 in both motos to finish ninth overall in his first race back since High Point. “Well, I sure picked a good round to make my return to racing,” Marchbanks joked. “Today was fun, but also extremely challenging. In moto 2, I was able to get a great jump [off the gate] and was able to run in fourth for the first few laps. The nasty terrain didn't make it easy, but I am proud of the consistency I showed with my 10-9 scores for ninth overall. We will keep building from here and break into the top five before the end of the season.”Brown Dog Wilson
