FMF KTM Factory Racing’s Kacy Martinez earned her fourth win of the season at round 6 of the 2018 EnduroCross series at the Ford Idaho Center in Boise, Idaho. Her victory enabled her to capture her first-ever Women’s EnduroCross Championship.

“I put a lot of effort into this series this year and it’s the last National Championship I had to win before I won all the major off-road series titles in the United States,” Martinez said. “Last week I was thinking back to how much I’ve put into this sport, and every series I’ve committed to, I’ve come away with the number one plate. So I’m very happy about that. Coming into the first round this year I won and then I struggled a few races, so I went down to KTM’s track and I just put in a lot of work with Antti [Kallonen] and the team. They pushed me really hard and we got it done. I’m very happy to win those last three rounds and get this title.”

A&E Racing/FXR/KTM’s Shelby Turner earned her third consecutive runner-up finish and ended the season in second place in the point standings.

“It was a full on bar-to-bar battle the entire race,” Turner said. “I am so proud of myself for being a title contender this year after all of the pain and struggles I had to overcome. I am beyond happy with second overall. I fought my hardest all season long and I can’t be disappointed in that. Next year I’ll be back better than ever. I can’t thank my friends, family, and sponsors enough for all their support this year. And huge congratulations to Kacy Martinez for taking the championship.”

Beta USA’s Morgan Tanke grabbed the final step on the podium while Jannie Devin-Lamontagne and Allie Dorsey rounded out the top five, respectively.
