SR75 Molson Racing Suzuki rider Thomas Ramette will contest the ninth round of the AMA Monster Energy Supercross championship at Daytona Beach, Florida, on March 5.

The Frenchman, who's signed a global deal to race for the British-based team, qualified twice for AMA SX Main Events from two attempts last year and in Las Vegas scored points with a 15th-placed finish.

Racing an RM-Z450 at the iconic Daytona International Speedway, Thomas will be looking to build on this great performance.

Team owner Geoff Walker's out-of-the-box thinking regularly sees his riders contest high-profile events. As well as his AMA SX appearances Ramette also raced last October's Red Bull Straight Rhythm and in 2014 teammate Cyrille Coulon competed in the Las Vegas Supercross and the opening round of the AMA Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship at Glen Helen.

Thomas has headed to America as the newly crowned 2016 Pro Champion of the Monster Energy ArenacrossUK Tour powered by Ford Ranger.

"To once again have the opportunity to represent the team in the USA is a dream for me. Last year was amazing and racing at this level in AMA Supercross taught me a lot. This is the toughest platform and I really enjoy racing on the big tracks with the best racers."

"It would be great to race a few races back to back and we have traveled out to Daytona straight from our London AX finale and directly into the strongest series and I will see how it goes. Daytona is an iconic and very tough race and I am incredibly excited to get on the track."

"I have had fantastic support from Chris and the Dirt Rider crew in my USA adventures with SR75 and it is great to be back here for our first Supercross of this year."

"My expectations are fully under control as we have zero test time but I want to go and have fun on the track and work at 100 percent for myself and my team. This is a big week after the emotion and joy of last weekend so I have to regroup my emotions, recover from my jet lag and give my best. "

"It is fantastic to have the support of my SR75 Suzuki team and Suzuki USA for this journey and I thank everyone involved in making this dream a reality."

Geoff Walker

"From a personal point of view I am pushing to keep the progression and development moving forward with the team and all that it involves. Thomas has shown his class, skill and mental strength over and over when he has been challenged in his time as an SR75 rider and Daytona will be another massive challenge for our two time AX UK Champ."

"Racing AMA Supercross is an honor as it demands a skillset from its top riders which is second to none. To have taken both our riders to this level over the past couple of years is pretty amazing. For a rookie from a different country to come into AMA Supercross and qualify for two Main Events and score a top 15 is very cool and something which gives me a lot of personal pride in what we as a team have achieved with both riders and the support structure we work with."

"We have had fantastic support from some great people out in the States as well as our forward-thinking UK team partners who realize the value and effort it takes to put it together to go racing at the highest level on a different continent. I would like to thank everyone involved and, as always, we will give it 100 percent at Daytona Supercross."
