How Much Power Does the 2026 Triumph TF 250-X Make?

In its third year on the market, Triumph’s TF 250-X is more powerful than ever. Equipped with an all-new airbox and muffler to maximize airflow and enhanced mapping for improved power delivery and throttle response, the 2026 model is good for 40.8 hp and 18.8 lb.-ft. of torque on Dirt Rider’s in-house Dynojet 250i rear-wheel dynamometer. In addition to cranking out 0.9 hp and 0.1 lb.-ft. of torque more than the 2025 model, track testing revealed another area of the rpm range the British manufacturer’s 250cc four-stroke motocross bike is better in 2026.

“Mapping seems to be improved at low rpm on the 2026 TF 250-X,” test rider Allan Brown said. “This engine feels similar to the previous-generation (2019–2022) KTM 250 SX-F’s, but with less overall power. It’s high-revving, extremely linear, and easy to control, but there’s no big hit or excitement.”
