7602 Racing CK7 Clutch Reservoir Cover - Dirt Rider Magazine

7602 Racing is starting small with just a few innovative products in its lineup. The company saw a need for an aftermarket Magura clutch master cylinder cover for the four-stroke Husaberg, KTM and Husqvarna models equipped with Magura hydraulic clutches. The stock cap is die-cast with an integrated hot-start lever mount, but that mount is flimsy enough to break in a crash. Instead of merely copying the stock cap from billet, 7602 made its CK7 cap thicker and stronger, then reengineered the hot-start lever mounting. The lever is mounted 8mm closer to the master cylinder, and it's somewhat hidden by the clutch lever for better crash protection. The new cover requires the lever mounting hardware to be reversed. Installation is easy, and it's immediately apparent that you're looking at a much stronger part. We installed the cover on an '08 KTM 450 SX-F with the KTM flag-type hand guards. With the lever mounted beneath the edge of the cap rather than on top, the plastic hand guards needed to be trimmed and the hardware filed for everything to fit and work. If you're running sans guards or the wraparound type, there should be no interference. There are some color choices, so the CK7 looks cool as well. Since the CK7 is only $37, the additional protection won't break the bank. -Karel Kramer
