Honda CRF50F - Dirt Rider Magazine

Most of our staff tends to think of adult minicycles as 150cc four-strokes in 85cc-size or even 85-100cc-size mini frames. The recent CRF50F craze is a little shocking to us, but that doesn't mean we don't respond to seeing radical moves on one. This sequence is BBR's Kyle Coen on one of that company's perimeter-style aluminum-chassis CRF50Fs. The tiny screamer has an Elka shock, a Marzocchi inverted fork and a total of 8 inches of travel to handle this landing. The coolest facet of this bike is the $3000 Takegawa 124cc engine kit, which comes with a DOHC four-valve head. A stock CRF50F makes between 2 and 2.5 horsepower; this monster makes more like 20! Our favorite web sites for this craziness are www.bbrmotorsports.com, www.fast50s.com and www.hondaminitrail.com.
