Factory Supercross Bikes 2018

Eli Tomac's Factory Kawasaki was leading Anaheim 1 until a small mistake sent it, and Tomac, to the ground. But before the gate dropped at the opening round of the 2018 Monster Energy Supercross series, we dropped by the Kawasaki pits to check out the green #3 bike and learn what it takes for Tomac's mechanic, Brian Kranz, to have it ready for every round. There's probably no one who spends more time with the racebike than the mechanic, and Kranz tells about his job as well as the roles other members of the race team have. He gives some insight into how they make race day decisions on bike changes, and how sometimes no changes are needed such as when Tomac put together a string of supercross wins in 2017. It's not all glamorous, but this is what it takes to tune and prepare a dirt bike for the highest level of professional racing.
