Riverside, California - October 12, 2010 - IMS riders swept the podium at the Power Line Park GNCC in St. Clairsville, Ohio. Suzuki Off-Road rider Josh Strang wrapped up the 2010 GNCC Championship one race early with a hard-earned third place finish. Yamaha's Paul Whibley claimed his first victory of the season, while Husqvarna's Glenn Kearney took second.
The Power Line Park GNCC was a tough race and riders relied heavily on their IMS products. Paul Whibley was the early leader with Glenn Kearney not far behind. But as Kearney inched closer, Whibley rode consistently and managed to hold on to the lead until the finish line. The real battle, however, was for third place. After starting in last place, points leader Josh Strang was pushing hard to make up ground on championship rival and fellow IMS rider Charlie Mullins. By the end of the second lap, Strang had pushed his way into fourth, right behind Mullins. With moments left in the race, Strang made his move into third place and made it stick. The result was enough to give Strang his first GNCC Championship.
IMS riders look to sweep the podium again at the final round of the 2010 GNCC series, which takes place October 23-24 at the Ironman GNCC in Crawfordsville, Indiana.
