Tool Seat Tool Tray

You know, I love tools, but I have a love/bafflement relationship with this one.The Tool Seat Tray is a built-up aluminum tray with wings on the bottom to hold it in place and a sheet of tough, cushioned non-slip material in the bottom. When you set the tray on the seat of your dirt bike, it stays amazingly solid, and it is the perfect repository for tools you are using, parts and supplies. For wrenching on the controls, installing a chain and sprocket or changing a tire the tray is truly useful. The problem is that for much of the work on a bike, the first part I remove is the seat. So basically, the tray is perfect for KTMs, since they don't need the seat removed to clean the filter. So the dilemma is this: what do I do with this amazing tray while I have the seat off? Alas, it also holds tools well on the ground, but not as triumphantly as up on the seat. For $39.95 the tray isn't a financial deal breaker, but you need to decide what sort of maintenance you actually do most, and think whether the tray works for you or not. -Karel Kramer
