When you take into account the cost of event tickets, fuel, accommodations and trackside funnel cake, being a spectator at all 12 rounds of the AMA Outdoor National MX series could potentially cost thousands of dollars. But for $24.95, you can now catch the 2008 Motocross season in its entirety without even getting a farmer’s tan. The Great Outdoors: The Destroyers is the latest installment in the influential No Fear DVD lineup, and the film contains 90 minutes of race action from James Stewart’s flawless ’08 National season. Beginning with the opening round at Glen Helen Raceway, The Destroyers features brief recaps of both classes at every race, each of which is shot from several angles and edited extremely well. Although the tone of the narration gets a little heavy at times (think Deadliest Catch) and there are no bonus features, the video certainly lives up to the high standards set by previous TGO titles and boasts dramatic cuts, incredible shots and-best of all-real bike noise beneath the music. If you missed the Outdoor season last year, TGO: The Destroyers is the next best thing to having been there. -Chris Denison
