2007 Sighting!Could This Be The 2OO7 KTM? While most motorcycle manufacturers are extremely tight-lipped about their new projects, KTM races its top-secret stuff in the MX World Championships. Sebastifn Tortelli’s factory KTM 450 shows a number of strange features, including an all-new engine, new swingarm and an Akrapovic single titanium exhaust header with an odd premuffler attached to it. In addition to Tortelli’s bike, Dirt Rider’s man on the scene also nabbed a few shots of Stefan Evert’s Rinaldi Yamaha, which is sporting a really cool carbon-fiber gas tank, along with a single-piece carbon-fiber subframe/airbox. Not weird enough yet? Then check out the Italian Honda Martin team, which is running its CRFs with double Akrapovic carbon-fiber silencers, rebuilt airboxes and-get ready-GPS data acquisition systems! The GPS, with the antenna on the rear fender, is claimed to use something called acquisition GET data, which makes known the bike’s position on the track (it is rumored to be precise enough to differentiate in-line selection, showing riders the fastest line when downloaded), as well as the temperature of the engine, suspension, oil and coolant. We don’t know about you, but we think that last feature would be a blast to have on a stock bike!Supercross Classics DVDBefore Carmichael, McGrath and Stewart there was Hannah, O’Mara, Bailey, Johnson, Ward and Stanton.
