Scott USA has been building quality motocross goggles for more than 30 years. The trusty Scott Model 89 has weathered several ideas that were supposed to revolutionize the way people viewed the track, but the conventional design held up and is still one of the most comfortable goggles on the market. A while back, Scott unveiled the first goggle to exceed the fit and function of the 89x, the HiVoltage. Molded on the concept of “top-down” for maximum ventilation, Scott’s HiVoltage has invigorated a product line that had stagnated visually. The ventilation is for more than just good looks; it’s designed to keep cool air flowing, the lens from fogging, and the foam from getting sweat-drenched. The new design also entails an outer strap rail that holds the frame of the goggle closer to the rider’s face, eliminating any unnecessary bouncing inside the helmet. The majority of our test staff was fond of the fit and seal the HiVoltage offered and didn’t experience any fogging or ventilation problems.
