Day 2 of racing from Texas

The nation's best threw down all day long at the beautiful Freestone facility despite heavy winds. Many great battles were had and a few underdogs emerged victorious. We are nearing the end of the first set of motos for the week. Impending inclement weather threatens racing tomorrow, be sure and check back! Here are some images from the day.

Utah native Destiny Burgess was leading a three rider battle most of the girls 65cc class. She was eventually caught by Mikayla Nielsen who won the first moto.Dirt Rider

Flanked by his teammate, Brandon Hartranft, Justin Copper won the second moto of the 450 Pro Sport. The pair were out front early and steadily marched away from the pack on their Yamaha Rock River YZ450Fs.Dirt Rider

It was an extremely rare pleasure to not only see a TM85 not only competing but battling for the lead. Arizona rider Julien Beaumer piloted the Italian motorcycle against KTM's Haiden Deegan. Deegan would cross the line first but was disqualified for performance modifications which gave the Beaumer the win in 85cc 9-10 limited moto1.Dirt Rider
