The nearly sold out Idaho Center was home to what is being said amongst EnduroCross racers as the hardest track in a very long time, resulting in great racing. All the racers, even top pros, had difficulty on the tough and tricky obstacles. Sections of massive trees were strewn about the track and in the spirit of Halloween; pumpkins were placed strategically on the track.

During the afternoon hot laps Ryan Sandoval had the fastest lap until Colton Haaker blasted a super fast lap. Then Cody Webb came out swinging but couldn’t top Haaker’s time. Taddy Blazusiak, usually at the top of the list when it comes to hot lap times, fell on a set of slippery tires then got hung up in the log matrix, bumping him all the way back to 17th. Colton Haaker held on to his fastest time, earning the honor of fastest man on the track.

Haaker won the first heat race over Ryan Sandoval. Blazusiak took the holeshot and won heat two over Webb despite a bad gate pick. Graffunder won heat three over GEICO Honda’s Geoff Aaron. In the semi’s, Kyle Redmond, Justin Soule and Gary Sutherlin won to get the only spots in the main. Then in the LCQ, Bobby Prochnau and Jamie Lanza took the last two spots for the main.

MAIN EVENT
When the main event gate dropped some serious talent was missing, including Taylor Robert, Destry Abbott, Bobby Garrison, and Eric Rhoten just to name a few who didn’t qualify from the ever increasing difficult heat and semi races. Making an EnduroCross main now is like winning the lottery! After struggles with stalls in the past few events, Cody Webb tested with Rekluse, going with the EXP clutch rather than a manual set up and got it dialed in to his liking. Webb grabbed the holeshot with Blazusiak buried in the pack. Blazusiak did what he is so good at and by the end of the first lap was up into second. Webb led the first lap but then Blazusiak found a way by and led laps two through four before Webb passed Blazusiak back in the woodpile and led lap five. Blazusiak again passed Webb and slowly opened up decent lead and looked to be on his way to another win until he fell on the same tractor tire obstacle he crashed on during hot laps. Webb got close as they approached the finish but was not able to make a pass. Corey Graffunder rode strong and fought off charges from Justin Soule and Kyle Redmond for third while Soule crossed in fourth and Kyle Redmond had another strong finish with a fifth. Mike Brown, one of the fastest guys around on an EX track, made the main but pulled out due to illness.

Boise was the fourth round of the women’s championship (not all rounds count for points) and KTM’s Maria Forsberg took the win over Louise Forsley and Kacy Martinez but not without a fight from Louise Forsley who led for bit. Forsberg got stuck in the log matrix on the last lap and received assistance as Louise was closing in on her. Does Blazusiak get assistance if he gets stuck? Nope and neither should the women. Did it change the outcome of the women’s race? It just may have.

The support classes of EnduroCross often provide some of the best racing of the day and the Open Amateur class was won by Canada’s Shane Cuthbertson over Ty Tremaine and Keith Curtis. For the second week in a row, Ty Tremaine came back to win the TrialsCross class with Shad Petersen in second ahead of Joey Hamilton. Trialscross class encompassed riders 12 years old to 60 years old. The Vet 35+ class was another close race with Robert Farrington taking the win ahead of Stephen Foord and Josh Adams.
