Just one week before the AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship, Thor’s amateur motocross riders convened on Ponca City, Okla., capturing an impressive eight championships.
Leading the way with three championships was Sean Cantrell, who grabbed titles in the 85 (12-13) Stock, Jr Mini 9-13 and Sr Mini 12-14 classes. Ryder DiFrancesco and Jordan Bailey both tallied their championships at two with Di Francesco winning the 51 4-6 Modified and Stock classes, while Bailey earned titles in the 85 (9-11) Stock and Modified classes. Challen Tennant captured the coveted SuperMini 1 (12-15) title, while Stilez Robertson grabbed a pair of fourth-place finishes in the 65 (7-9) Stock and Modified classes.
Now the riders move on with Ponca titles in hand to the most desired championship of the season at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch, with race action starting Tuesday.
At the AMA National Enduro Series in Cross Fork, Pa., Thor’s Russell Bobbitt took home a seventh-place finish. His finish and prior great performances helped him maintain third in the overall points standings.
