When the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship kicked off this past weekend with the Hangtown National near Sacramento, California, the only thing that anyone knew for certain was that it was going to be a battle. Both the 250 and 450 classes were packed with talent, and several speedy newcomers and a few last-minute no-shows made for some unpredictable twists to the first round of the series. Dirt Rider was on hand to catch the action, which included a dominant performance by the Pro Circuit Kawasaki squad, an impressive ride by a hard-charging Chad Reed and a great battle in the women’s class. Feast your eyes on the following collection of shots from the race, and stay tuned to Dirt Rider magazine for some serious factory bike eye candy from the 2011 Nationals.
