Monte Vista, COThe supplied bike and helmet numbers that some racing organizations give out seem to stick much too securely for me. I’ve even seen them peel the paint right off a helmet! Other clubs use paper numbers. The paper comes off without the glue. To remedy either problem I put duct tape down before I put temporary numbers on my bike or my helmet. After the event the tape peels off easily, and it takes the numbers with it.
