A thousand words worth of photos (times 10) from A1, plus commentary too…
“Team Green”. Broc Tickle, Josh Hansen and Tyla Rattray will most likely make things miserable for the other teams in the 250 (Lites?) division.
Antonio Cairoli (and lovely wife) were at A1 checking things out. Cairoli says he is checking things out for a possible SX campaign in 2012. He will be riding SX with Short and Alessi at the KTM practice facility during the next month.
Mitch Payton tells Chad Reed to turn the throttle and dump the clutch when the gate drops. Chad was caught sleeping at the start but moved up into a respectable fifth. Mitch does all of Chad’s engine and suspension.
The man running Reed’s program is Dave Osterman. Dave has been out of the loop for a while but I don’t think he has forgotten how to win.
Classic eye candy.
Michael Williamson turns the wrenches for Ryan Villopoto, and Williamson made just the right adjustments before the main event. James Stewart passed RV in the heat race but he didn’t give Stewart that opportunity in the main.
More A1 eye candy.
Josh Grant (#33) and Trey Canard (41) are the Team Honda riders in ’11. Canard was impressive, coming back from a crash in his heat race. After winning the LCQ, the redheaded Okie finished a strong fourth in the main.
Dodge/Bel-Ray Hart & Huntington are running Kawis this year with Ivan Tedesco and Chris Blose. Tedesco grabbed the holeshot in the main and ran at the front until dropping off the pace.
Villopoto proved the leg is 100% and he still has what it takes.
