Hey! Thanks for the mag, I look forward to it every month. I just wanted to say it seems like sound issues and having public riding areas getting shut down is a big deal, but I won’t lie, I haven’t taken action. Why? It hasn’t been made apparent to me that any of the places I ride are threatened. Maybe in the magazine you could put in a section about any news of a place getting shut down or being threatened. If I knew my local spots were threatened, I would take action. Also, I want to see some supermoto stuff! More budget bikes, too, like the Buck 25 challenge! Not many people can go out and get the brand-new bikes.Chris McMahan

Look at it this way, Chris: if your next-door neighbor’s house was on fire, would you help him put it out or simply stand by and watch as the flames jumped to your roof? By taking action now to support existing riding areas, you’re directly protecting the places where you put knobby to dirt for your own selfish enjoyment. Do you really expect the greenies to close down the majority of the nation’s riding areas, and then stop when they get to your backyard? Get real, and while you’re at it, get active now before it’s too late! As for your request to put a section in the magazine dedicated threatened riding areas, we have some ideas for this in the works. Keep your eyes on our Tear-offs section of Dirt Rider for more. -Chris Denison
