Stuntman in television and movies such as Ironman 1 AND 2, Fast & Furious and GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra, and did much of the stunt driving in Wanted with Angelina Jolie on the hood of the red Viper. Yowsa! Age: 20
www.brandxstunts.orgI raced from when I was four until I was thirteen. I wasn’t doing too good in school so my dad took away my bike and sold it until I got better grades. When I was fourteen or fifteen I got back into it. Now A Day in the Dirt is the main race that I do every year. Here I’m racing the pro class, just kinda for fun. It’s a good way to just go out and ride with some fast guys. When you ride motocross you don’t think about anything else. You’re kinda in your little zone. When you do stunts you have so much to think about at the same time. There are cameras, there are other people, it’s a different adrenaline rush for each one.Wanted was my first driving job in general on stunts because you have to be 18. And a week after turning 18 we went to Chicago and shot that. The reason he [Mic Rodgers, Second Unit Director] hired me on that is because I’ve raced motocross for so long. He’s seen me race since I was a little kid and he knows I’m good with my surroundings and awareness of other people, and that plays a big part in stunt driving. It was nerve wracking the first night, the first scene. After I was finished I was calm, it was cool. [Angelina Jolie] was actually more nervous at first, having an 18-year-old kid doing this stuff and her life on the line, but after the first night she went up to Mic [Rodgers] and was like, “OK, I understand now, he knows what he’s doing.”Angelina Jolie was cool. She was really nice and we talked a bunch. Good thing Brad Pitt wasn’t there because she was just wearing a little dress and straddling my steering wheel…Angelina was wired to the car. She had a harness under her dress and they had a little wire from her harness to the car, so it made sure she wouldn’t fall off, but still it’s dangerous because you’re going into oncoming traffic, you’re still going fast, and if anything does happen, she’s stuck there.
