Fuzzy Memory – Dirt Rider Magazine

First to butter you up – I have been a subscriber, reader and have plain enjoyed Dirt Rider for more years then I care to admit! I have come to know your magazine from cover to cover each month it hits the box and lands by the throne. Jimmy Rigged and Pete Pete Son this Letter Rip is for you to use as ammo against the great Karel Kramer and his Trail Tips. In the December 2009 Dirt Rider Issue, page 113, Mr. Kramer sets forth a Trail Tip regarding a “Jet Tube.” I don’t know if Mr. Kramer simply loved the tip, ran out of Trail Tips or short term memory, but he used the same Trail Tip in the January 2010 issue at page 81. His job is very taxing (testing bikes and the like) so this Letter Rip is by no means a criticism. Having read your magazine for so many years I know Dirt Rider often recognizes, through free gear, etc., readers who are so dedicated to Dirt Rider that they catch spelling errors and other editorial misgivings. I also understand this generosity is completely at Dirt Rider’s discretion. So, if you are feeling generous and thankful for this reader’s catch, I would enjoy free (although “Nothing is free”) gear, parts, prizes, or a simple Rekluse Clutch. If not, thanks for the great magazine!

For sure it was running out of short-term memory. You can ask my wife. She claims I never remember anything. I may have run out of tips, as well. You (and the rest of our readers) could make my life easier by sending in more trail tips. I doubt that it will help my memory, though. -Karel Kramer
