My friend Steve (another long time Dirt Rider subscriber) and I went for a late autumn ride here at a local track (Hurricane Hills Motocross Park ) in Zumbrota, Minnesota. It was a beautiful day in early November and we wanted to get some pictures of the last ride of ’04, just to get us through the long winter here in MN. We managed to catch a pretty interesting shot. Everyone said, “That looks like it should be in Dirt Rider” so I figured I would share it with you.
Thanks for the years of great reading, and many more to come!

Thanks, Josh. This is a great picture! We liked it so much, we slapped a logo on it and turned it into a downloadable wallpaper for all of our readers to enjoy. This remarkable picture came to us all the way from Iceland, compliments of Dirt Rider reader orsteinn Hjaltason. The photo was taken during a ride in the mountains of Iceland. The rest of the email was written in Icelandic, including the caption for the picture (which we thought we’d run anyway). What does it say? Your guess is as good as ours.Upp Ytrislu, orsteinn, Eirkur og Finnur. bakgrunni er Syrisla, Kerling og svo Lambrdalsxl. Thnxl fr the nnkredibll phjt, orsteinn!Hi,I know you probably have a ton of great pics, but I wanted to show you one I took at Daytona. It is RC doing the triple on his parade lap before the race when the fireworks went off. Feel free to use it. I don’t want any thing for it; I just thought it was a great shot. Or just send it to Ricky. It is my priviledge to send it to you. Thanks,Bill Lorah
Lewes, DEWow, Bill… did you really come to Daytona Supercross all the way from Deleware? Incidentally, that’s a pretty fantastic picture—excellent timing! And from the looks of it, you were standing right near me when you shot that… what a small world.Although we didn’t send it to RC, he’ll most-likely see it the next time he visits Dirtrider.com! Thanks for sending it to us!
Do you have some awesome pictures you’d like to see on Dirtrider.com? We’re still looking for Weekend Warrior stories, so send us your pictures along with the story behind them (where you were, what you did that day, who you were with and what you were riding) to DRnews@primedia.com.
