Except for the two overseas events and the Daytona SX, the World SX GP piggybacks the AMA Supercross series that kicks off on January 4 in Anaheim California. As you can see, absent from the lineup are Ricky Carmichael, Travis Pastrana, Ezra Lusk Stephane Roncada and Ernesto Fonseca to name a few. It’s very likely these riders as well as several others decided not to compete to avoid possible injury before Anaheim, as well as avoid burnout by not extending their already long season. Because riders like RC are not racing the world rounds, they will not be eligible to win the World GP title.
