Over 500 entrants from 50 countries covered over 200 off-road miles per day for six consecutive days. The US competed with a young Trophy team that fought against a tight schedule, extremely wet weather, and controversial officiating.Called the Olympics of Motorcycling, the ISDE is the ultimate test of tactics, rider, machine, and mechanical skill. It is one of the oldest events in international motorcycle competition and for almost eighty years has decided who are the best enduro riders in the world.The show is a collaboration of JAL Productions and Cox Media Projects, which assembled an international team of motorcycle media and video talent under the management of Executive Producer, Dick Lague, former president of the Petersen Motorcycle Group.In the Czech Republic, veteran motorcycle publisher and TV documentary producer Bruce Cox directed a multiple-camera crew with previous filming experience ranging from Formula One to Moto GP, the Paris/Dakar and American ‘extreme’ sports, Noted motorcycle journalist and ISDE specialist, Mark Kariya contributed pre-event research and kept the film crew up to date on the American team effort during the event.Post-production was completed at the Media Island facility in Burbank under the direction of Jeff Lague, who was also responsible for the editing of more than 24 hours of raw footage into the final one-hour show!
