Mike Lafferty Wins AMA National Enduro Round Three – News – Dirt Rider Magazine

In his home town of Port Elisabeth, Mike Lafferty collected his second win of the 2006 Enduro season moving him well into the lead.Under clear blue New Jersey skies, the riders faced some of the tightest wood sections that the East Coast had to offer. Lafferty moved out to an early lead and continued to gain a point on his competitors during the 3-loop race.The second loop was faster and Lafferty was flawless, while usual frontrunners Russell Bobbitt and Stephen Edmonson made mistakes and were penalized several points.Tight wooded sections welcomed the riders back to the third loop and provided a great battle ground for Lafferty and Bobbitt, only to see Bobbitt fall within sight of the finish awarding Lafferty one more point.Lafferty now leads the Championship series by eight points.AMA National Enduro Results; Port Elisabth NJ
