On Wednesday, December 14, only a few days after round two of the Amp’d Mobile World Supercross GP Series in Vancouver, BC, Canada, SoBe/Samsung Mobile Honda’s Kevin Windham went down while testing at the Team Honda test track in Corona, California and reportedly suffered a compound fracture of his left forearm. He went into surgery later that evening and will be out of action indefinitely, which will put him out for round one of the Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series on January 7, 2006.With James Stewart, Chad Reed and Ricky Carmichael all switching to four-strokes for 2006, many pit pundits figured Windham would have an immediate leg-up on the competition come Anaheim I since he has been racing the four-stroke exclusively for the last two years.
