AVMotoplex Motocross Ride Park, New And Exciting Updates – News – Dirt Rider Magazine

We are very excited to announce some improvements that have been made to our facility and more to come in the next month.First, on August 3rd and 4th we imported 140 truck loads of sand and dirt. That is over 1,000 yards of material. We were able to improve much of the track with this material. Several jumps were improved with larger landings and we raised all the table tops. The berms were also improved. We raised and widened the corners. The sand makes the corners loamy and develops better lines in the corners. The sandy material also holds water much better without getting slippery and it doesn’t puddle up. There are just too many benefits to list.We have opened a “mini” track. It is not complete but it is operational. We plan to add more obstacles and increase the length in the next month, but it is open this weekend.You wouldn’t believe the positive feedback we have received since we imported the sand, you’ll have to try it for yourself to realize the huge improvement.FutureAVMotoplex will be closed for the AVFair. Our last day open was Sunday 8-13-05, and we will reopen on or before Friday 9-16-05.During this time we plan to redesign the track and rebuild everything. We will import another 100 to 300 truck loads of dirt and sand depending on what is available. We will also be building our starting gates and making the necessary improvements to begin hosting races. We will also make large improvements to our Pee Wee track during the break.Our goal is to open on or before Friday 9-16-05 with a much improve facility, hopefully offering the most fun in So Cal.
