Results from “the Wick” prove that experience is the key to conquering the sand. Carmichael lost a moto for the first time since 2003, taking second to Chad Reed. But RC still rebounded to take the overall with Reed in second. Veteran John Dowd showed his sand-riding prowess by taking third overall, followed by Kevin Windham and Doug Henry (fourth and fifth, respectively).Grant Langston came back strong after missing round two. He captured another victory with a (2-1), followed by Mike Brown (3-4), and Ryan Hughes, who celebrates his first podium of the series (8-2). Mike Alessi won the first moto, but an unfortunate second moto left him in seventh overall (1-34).
