36th Annual El Trial De Espana AnnouncedFor the past 36 years the American Trials Association (ATA) of Southern California has been hosting an annual fundraiser trial known as the El Trial de Espana (ETdE), with all proceeds from it going to send a team of America’s best motorcycle trials riders to Europe to represent the U.S. in the International Trial des Nations (TdN) competition. El Trial de Espana has become the oldest and most prestigious trials in America and the ATA wants everyone to mark their calendar and join us for what promises to be an even bigger and better annual American trials classic. This year’s event will be held on Sunday May 23, 2005 immediately following Rounds 7 and 8 of the 12 round 2005 AMA/NATC National Observed Trials Series on Friday May 20 and Saturday May 21, 2005.The location will once again be Reed Valley, a private trials riding paradise near Temecula, CA., less than a two-hour drive from LA or San Diego. Reed Valley is the headquarters of ETdE title sponsor MotoVentures Inc., offering dirt bike rider training and trials riding services from this site. Media are invited to a press day on Thursday, May 19th where all the Top American trials riders and trials bike manufacturers will be available to answer your questions. To generate the much needed funding each year the ATA sells t-shirts, charges a spectator and camping fee, and sells raffle tickets with many great prizes that include new motorcycles and many valuable products donated by generous sponsors. Of course direct donations are always welcome. This fundraising effort, as in previous years, will be split evenly between the TdN team fund and the ATA land acquisition fund. Past years donations have earned the ATA the prestigious “Platinum” level TdN team sponsor in the USA with the AMA.The 36th El Trial de Espana will be a fun filled weekend, with plenty of national riders attending the 2-day nationals and staying for El Trial de Espana. Come on out and watch the best American riders duke it out for a national win on either Friday, Saturday or the El Trial win on Sunday, all while raising money for a worthy cause.
