The last day of the ISDE was very dramatic. The Enduro 2 riders did not want to start the final motocross for safety reasons; it was very dusty and they were missing marshals on the track. The race jury held an emergency meeting but despite their decision not to cancel the race, most of riders still did not want to start. Some fighting ensued and consequently, Spaniard Arnau Vilanova was disqualified from the final results. This decision handed Finland the World Trophy and Junior World Trophy win.
