There has been a lot of chatter about Jeremy McGrath coming back to supercross next year, but don’t expect to see the seven-time champ on the starting line. “I was misquoted by a local paper in San Diego,” said McGrath a one-off race at the Great American Championship Hillclimb in Billings, Montana. “The reporter must have thought I was talking about racing supercross, when I was actually talking about Supermoto. I’m sure it was just an accident, but the rumors of a comeback are false. I’ve had a great career and now it’s time to move on.” McGrath says he plans to race Supermoto in 2005, and hopes that sport will grow into something big.
