PIRELLI’S NEW 12″ MT32A MINI MX FRONT TIRE IS FIRST WITH MASS AVAILABILITY IN THE U.S.Designed For KTM 50 SX Pro Junior And Senior LC(Rome, GA) Pirelli has become the first tire company with mass availability of a new 60/100-12 12-inch front knobby for the new U.S.-market 2003 KTM 50 SX Pro Series mini motocrossers. The tire is the company’s well-known MT32A for soft to intermediate terrain. The MT32 model has won numerous World MX championships, and was most recently used by current champions Mickael Pichon and Stefan Everts to win their respective 2002 world championships. The new larger front is designed to provide improved handling and more stability compared to the previous 10-inch front used on 50cc minis, and to overcome the smaller tire’s tendency to track in grooves and ruts made by larger bikes. It is said to work particularly well on loose tracks and in both MX and off-road applications. Pirelli’s 2.75-10 MT320 rear pairs with the MT32A, widening the combos’ range of conditions and terrains. Among other benefits, the MT320′s tread compound was developed for excellent traction on cement start pads. Jeff Johnston, Pirelli’s Senior Product Specialist for North America, said the new front tire also works on Cobra’s 2003 King Cobra and CH2 50cc bikes, 2003 Polini Works X3 50cc, and 2003 Lem LX3 50cc. It can also be used to upgrade the performance of 50cc bikes that come with 10-inch wheels. The new 60/100-12 MT32A 12-inch front has a suggested retail price of $23.95, as does the 2.75-10 MT320 rear. They are just two of Pirelli’s line of MX and off-road tires for the full range of mini bikes from 50cc to 125cc.For more information, see your nearest Pirelli dealer or log onto www.us.pirellimoto.com.
