Josh Summey has his teammates for the upcoming Dirt Rider 24 Hour Torture Test. Josh is a diabetic and a supercross racer. He posted an impressive ninth at Anaheim 2 in the Supercross (450) class. Josh is an extremely talented rider who, along with his teammates, is going to raise money for the American Diabetes Association. Please go to the message board and make a pledge if you haven’t already. It’s for charity, it’s fun, and you’ll feel good when you do it. Here’s a link right to the thread pledge threadThe BikeThe team will be on a Honda CRF450X, set up for the team riders, the night racing, and the specific terrain of the Gorman riding area. The TeamJosh Summey – Josh is making great strides in his rookie season in the Supercross (450) class. He placed ninth at Anaheim 2 and has the talent and speed to continue further up in the results. He is racing the Supercross and outdoor Motocross series for Team MotoXXX.Allan Brown – Allan is the MotoXXX team manager but is no stranger to racing or to an AMA Pro License. Allan competed in some of the east coast supercrosses back in the late 80′s and early 90′s. Allan was what he calls, a ‘zip code guy.’ He didn’t have the support to race the whole series, but showed up to try to qualify when the series was nearby. In 1995 Allan went from racing to wrenching, and from there to team manager. He has been with MotoXXX for five years now.Scott Roegner – Scott is Josh’s race mechanic. Scott has also possessed an AMA Pro License, but was a ‘zip code guy’ out on the west coast. If the bike has a mechanical problem during the Dirt Rider 24 Hour, we hope it’s Scott on board – he’s fast and can fix a bike. Scott has been with MotoXXX for six years.Ronnie Williams – Ronnie works for Race Tech’s R&D and Pro Support programs. Race Tech is tuning the MotoXXX race bikes this year, and the bikes are clearly performing at the highest level. Ronnie is not only one of the riders, but he is going to tune the bike’s suspension for the Dirt Rider event. Ronnie has been to 24 Hour before so he knows the terrain, and Race Tech has a lot of experience dialing in CRF450X’s (they set up all the Baja Adventuers bikes), so the bike will be set up perfectly.Barry Summey – Barry is a friend of Josh’s, but they are not related. Barry is flying out from Charlotte, North Carolina. Barry is an off-road enthusiast, and a talented rider, and he is clearly going to be in fast company with this team. The event is coming up quick, so if you want to make a pledge, please go to the message board and do that. And watch this site to hear how the team did in their 24 hours of torture. For more information on Josh, the idea behind this team, and some links to learn more about diabetes, click this link Diabetes Team Announced
