Palmer back in after big crash at Ontario and Phil back after months on American’s Got Talent! – News Release

Irvine, CA (September 29, 2011) – “Wild” Wally Palmer had a frightening crash at the Ontario GEICO AMA EnduroCross, presented by Lucas Oil event less than two weeks ago but he will back for this weekend’s Denver round. Palmer took a trip over the bars in the front of the pack during the start and was subsequently run over by Geoff Aaron, which left Palmer briefly knocked out and pretty beat up. Palmer wanted everybody to know “I have had a lot of people asking if I am OK and I want everybody to know that I will be back for Denver this weekend”. Cycle News has a sequence of the accident here.

Another rider that will be back in action in Denver is Phil Smage. Smage and his brother Pat just spent several months in Hollywood competing on the American’s Got Talent TV show and their Trials show got them very close to the finals and the $1,000,000 prize on the line. Both of the Smage brothers have been regular competitors at EnduroCross but had to miss the first four rounds due to the TV filming and practice schedule. Phil said the he will be focusing on the TrialsCross class since “he didn’t have the fundage to get the big bike back together”, which shows the wide gap in prize money between the winner and almost making it.

The Denver EnduroCross course inside the National Western Complex arena is coming together nicely and should provide for another great show this Saturday, October 1st. Like all EnduroCross events, the pits are open to the public for free all day and it is also free to watch the daytime qualifiers as the riders battle to earn a spot in the night program. The Expert riders ride practice and do a single lap against the clock to determine their starting positions during the midafternoon so there is a lot of action all day.

Tickets are available from these Kawasaki Dealers: Fay Myers Motorcycle World, SUN Enterprises, Rocky Mountain Kawasaki, MotoAdventure, Grand Prix Motorsports also TicketsWest.com and www.EnduroCross.com.
