Team is Ready for Final Round in Las Vegas – Kiniry Finishes in 17th Followed by Siebler in 18th – TiLUBE Racing Team News Release
Advance, NC (May 5, 2011) - The TiLUBE Racing Team is ready to wrap up the season with great finishes at the final round in Las Vegas, Nevada. Despite a season filled with rider mishaps and injuries, the team managed to field riders for almost all of the 2011 Monster Energy SX Rounds demonstrating the team’s commitment and tenacity.
The TiLube Racing team backed by Foremost Insurance came to Salt Lake City ready to race. During the opening laps of the main event, Robert Kiniry was moving towards the top 10 when a mistake left him on the ground, he quickly regrouped and worked his Brown Motorsports prepared Kawasaki back to 17th place. Siebler was picking up the pace on every lap while getting used to his new Kawasaki 450 with Enzo suspension. When the checkered flag came out Siebler was in 18th.
Robert Kiniry qualified in the 17th spot with his lap time of 45.789 seconds and Cole Siebler qualified in 23rd with his time of 47.092 seconds.
Robert Kiniry (#62) transferred directly from his heat to the main event with his 7th place finish. Cole Siebler (#171) initially did not qualify for the main event with an 11th place finish. He did however make the cut off with a 2nd place finish in the Last Chance Qualifer.
“Both riders rode well this weekend. It has been a long, tough season, but we showed that the TiLUBE Racing Team is heavily committed to fielding top riders and competing at the highest levels of Supercross racing in the world. This was easily the most competitive season ever and we put riders in main events on a regular basis. We are excited about the finals this weekend and look forward to finishing strong in Vegas,”commented Tony Wenck, TiLUBE Racing team manager.
After sixteen rounds of the 2011 Monster Energy Supercross Series, Matt Boni is in 20th place, Robert Kiniry is in 29th place, Matt Goerke is in 32nd place and Cole Siebler is in 35th place overall in the standings.
The TiLUBE Racing team’s next race is Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
