More USGP At Glen Helen Golden Ticket Winners Announced
May 25, 2010 – Glen Helen Raceway, CA – Although time is running out, one more round of lucky “Golden Ticket” winners was drawn from the folks who will be attending the United States Grand Prix motocross race at Glen Helen this weekend. Ironically the instigator of this sweet Golden Ticket deal is a dentist! In “real life” race promoter Bud Feldkamp is not Willy Wonka, but an actual DDS. However drawing two more of the coveted Glen Helen USGP/South Point Las Vegas Golden Ticket winners at random is much easier than pulling teeth!
Colin McCaughey from Perth, Australia, and Timothy Scott from Torrance, California, were the third set of USGP Golden Ticket names drawn. Each of the eight Grand Prize packages includes a two-night stay at South Point Hotel, dinner for two at the Silverado Steakhouse and a pair of South Point show tickets. Each week two (2) Grand Prize packages will be awarded via random drawing (for a total of 8 during the promotion) continuing through the May 29-30 USGP weekend. Check the Glen Helen Raceway website to see the winners drawn on 5/10/10, 5/17/10, 5/24/10 and 5/31/10. Of the two weekly winners, there will be one (1) U.S. resident and one (1) international online USGP ticket buyer.
“Now we have a winner from down under to join the winners from England and Germany,” says Feldkamp. “Since the best motocross racers in the world are coming to Glen Helen Raceway on May 29-30th for the USGP, we figured it would be only fair to award an equal number of the Golden Tickets to GP fans visiting us from other countries.”
Speaking of visits, the winners get a trip to South Point, located just off the world-famous Las Vegas Strip. Some of South Point’s many amenities include the 16-screen Century Theatre movie complex, a 64-lane bowling center and a collection of restaurants to suit any taste. The casino features plenty of table games and the latest slot and video poker machines. The distinctive hotel features spacious rooms and suites with 42-inch plasma TVs, Point Plush mattresses and WiFi throughout. There is also a 400-seat showroom featuring headliner entertainment and dancing to live bands on weekends.
With or without a Golden Ticket Grand Prize package, fans still have a great opportunity to witness the world’s best MX racers in action at the USGP on May 29-30. Tickets for the “Race Of The Century” are now available at www.glenhelen.com. Reserved camping is available at the track for $50 per spot.
