Brea, Calif. – July 24, 2010
– The Rockstar Makita Suzuki team has been on a roll this year with 2010 AMA Supercross Champion Ryan Dungey leading the charge aboard his 2010 Suzuki fuel-injected RM-Z450. The young Minnesota native put on a clinic last week at Spring Creek, going 1-1 in front of the fans at his home track, and adding another victory to his impressive winning streak. Ryan has taken the overall at the last six nationals in a row, and the team is looking to carry that momentum into this week’s Washougal National to take a seventh.

This year’s Spring Creek National was a grueling test of both man and machine as they battled for position in the sweltering conditions. Dungey consistently turned in fast and smooth laps around the challenging Spring Creek track despite the oppressive heat, once again demonstrating his own physical fitness and the ability of the RM-Z to withstand even the most extreme conditions.

Also turning in a solid performance at Spring Creek was Ryan’s teammate Matt Moss, who ran in the top-ten during the first parts of both motos. Moss has been battling with injuries all season, and he eventually fell back as the motos wore on, but those opening laps of each moto showed that he has the speed to be up at the front. Moss is looking to improve on last week’s results at Washougal, and get back to the front where he belongs.

The Washougal National will take place Saturday, July 24th at Washougal MX park. The 450 race will be broadcast live on NBC at 7:00 P.M. Eastern time, and you can catch the 250 class on SPEED at 8:00 P.M. Eastern.
