Ivan Ramirez to Fill-in for Injured Kurt Caselli

Factory FMF/KTM Team Manager, Antti Kallonen, announced today that RPM/KTM rider Ivan Ramirez will fill in for the injured Kurt Caselli at the final Hare & Hound event.

Caselli, who was crowned the 2011 AMA National Hare & Hound Champion at the previous round, suffered a crash at the ninth round of the WORCS this past weekend. Caselli was able to finish the race but is not 100% healthy.

“Since Kurt (Caselli) has already won the Hare & Hound Championship, we have decided to have him sit out the final round to make sure he heals completely before the final WORCS race. Caselli is the current point’s leader in the WORCS and we want to make sure he can give it his best at the final round,” remarked Kallonen.

Kallonen continued, “We feel this is a great opportunity for Ivan to see how well the bike performs in a fast-paced desert environment and we are looking forward to supporting him this weekend.”

The final Hare & Hound race will take place this coming Saturday (October 23, 2011) in Johnson Valley, CA. For more on the Hare & Hound Series please visit www.nationalhareandhound.com.
