Ogio News Release
Bluffdale, UT - After a podium sweep last weekend in Anaheim for the first stop of the Monster Energy Supercross Championship OGIO riders Josh Hansen and Broc Tickle repeated their performance this weekend in Phoenix with first and second respectively while Tyla Rattray came away in sixth.
After a gnarly crash at the practice track this week, Rattray showed up banged and bruised but could have fooled everyone with a heat number one win. Hanny came out of the gate ready to show last week was no fluke and walked away with the second heat race while Tickle crossed the line in third.
Tickle blasted out of the gate in the main event to grab the holeshot while the rest of the pack trailed close behind. After leading several laps Tickle made one little mistake that handed the lead over to Hansen in which he would never look back. Meanwhile Rattray struggled with his start and fought hard for his sixth place finish.
“I’m really stoked,” said Hansen. “I didn’t get the start I needed to, but I tried my best to be patient and it worked out for me. I want to thank everyone on my team for helping me out and giving me a good bike and all these fans for coming out tonight.”
Look for more of the same dominance this weekend in LA for the third round of Monster Energy Supercross.
