With only three rounds remaining, the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship rolls into one of the most challenging courses on the circuit, MX338 in Southwick, Mass. The sandy course has been known to wreak havoc on riders and machines and this weekend will be no different.
One racer who always steps up at Southwick is Massachusetts native and Moose Racing rider, John Dowd. Last year, the “Junkyard Dog” nabbed a second place finish in moto two en route to an impressive third place overall finish. Dowd will be lining up again this weekend as he looks to repeat his success from last year. Dowd will be looking for a repeat performance this weekend in Southwick Phil Nicoletti will also be battling the Southwick sand this week as he continues to enjoy his new digs under the Factory KTM tent. Nicoletti will be sporting some of the new 2011 Moose Racing gear this weekend so keep an eye out for new colors and styles as the number 175 flies by. Round three of the AMA Endurocross series takes place this Saturday night at the Pepsi Coliseum in Indianapolis, Ind. Team riders Justin Soule, Jamie Lanza and more will be in attendance as will the Moose Racing semi.
