Keefer gets ready for his journey north to the CMRC Canadian Nationals
Hello Everyone!
Well its 1 week away and I will be leaving to go up North into Canada to begin my journey on the CMRC Canadian Nationals.
Again this will be a short update and dont forget to check out www.dirtrider.com after June 7th to see updates from the CMRC series and cool inside looks at what goes on up there in the biggest series in Canada. Also I will be having some behind the scenes stuff with myself and my mechanic on the road all summer on the blog also.
This week was a good week for training and practicing with it all commencing on a little local race series up here in the high dez. This weeks race was at Racetown 395 and it was the 4th round of the CRC Dunestown Series. The weather was actually the worst it has been all week with 40mph winds and 40 degree temps. Not the best day to go race but I wanted to keep getting “Race Seat Time” before this summer so we went and ended up winning both +25 Pro and 450 Pro. The 450 Pro class had a light turnout with 5 riders and +25 had 4. Some of the stragglers that didn’t do very good at Hangtown ended up driving back from there to race this race. I got 4 holeshots on my “stock motor” YZ 450 so that says something about the bike. Like I said it was a light turnout but still feels good going into the first corner first and not getting roosted, so lets hope that what happens up in Canada!
This week is another week of training/practicing and working on a few things I can do to get up front faster in the motos. I also will be attending the USGP to check out the race and to look at all the cool “WORKS” bikes that we usually don’t get to see here in the states! Should be a good time! Until next week thanks to everyone for all your help and I couldn’t do it without all of you.
See you all soon,
Kris Keefer
